Enterprise Monkey is proud to sponsor the development of a digital idea into an application for the winning team of Big Ideas Competition this year. Big Ideas Competition gives students a platform to come up with innovative, business ideas and share them with the world. The competition is held by the Upstart Challenge Program.
The Upstart Challenge, started out in 2012, is an Entrepreneurial Program and Business Ideas competition for high school students aimed at building an entrepreneurial culture and fostering strong relationships between students, educators, industry and the community. Upstart builds skills and experience to help young people make their mark in the new economy.
The Big Ideas Competition gives students an opportunity to present their business ideas in a pitching showdown. Students can win up to $1300 cash and tech prizes. The competition aims to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among students from an early age and make them aware of possible career options. We will sponsor the development of Minimum Viable Product (MVP) costing upto $10,000 for the winner this year. We will develop the MVP for free as we want to strongly believe in contributing back to the community.
With a frail economy at present, Geelong needs change more than ever. Embracing an entrepreneurial culture can be the first step towards that change and can prepare people for uncertain circumstances in the future. An entrepreneurial culture can give an overall boost to the economy and bring in more employment.
By supporting competitions such as the Big Ideas Competition we want to raise awareness among youngsters about the importance of new and innovative ideas that can bring about a positive change in our overall environment. We look forward to supporting more such initiatives in the future and foster an entrepreneurial culture.
