About the project

The DEA website redesign aimed to create a comprehensive platform that supports DEA’s mission and objectives. The goal was to present DEA as a legitimate peak body in the industry, promote disability employment broadly, increase membership, and support DEA’s new product and service offerings. The website needed to provide a seamless user experience for both members and non-members, incorporating a wide range of functionalities including a membership system, event management, e-commerce capabilities, and more.

Client challenges

DEA faced several challenges with their existing website:

The outdated design and confusing navigation did not represent DEA's current brand and mission. They needed to integrate new training approaches and offer additional products for sale, including video content and recordings. Additionally, there was a desire to broaden their focus beyond DES to other sectors within disability employment. It was crucial to present DEA as a legitimate peak body while promoting the value of people with disabilities. Increasing memberships by appealing to NDIS providers, corporations, and individuals was also a priority.

Our solutions

Enterprise Monkey developed a robust Wordpress-based website for DEA, incorporating a membership system that allows for member signups with subscription billing and different membership tiers. The platform includes a member directory where members can add multiple listings, an event system with calendar functionality, and e-commerce features for selling events and products. Content management tools, paywall functionality, and content preview options were integrated to enhance user experience and accessibility. The website has been developed with a focus on web accessibility and is a leading example of digital inclusivity.
