The Gordon aimed to create a SaaS platform to refine the training-to-employment route. The platform's core objective was to match student skills with suitable vocational courses. By leveraging the latest digital technologies, the project aimed to create a comprehensive survey platform that enhances student employability and supports better data management and analysis.

The Gordon Institute of TAFE had several critical needs for their custom SaaS survey platform aimed at enhancing vocational training outcomes:

Skill Assessment: The ability to conduct detailed skill assessments for students, matching their abilities with suitable vocational courses and employment opportunities.

Data Integration: Seamless integration with existing systems such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Student Management Systems (SMS) to consolidate and analyse data from multiple sources.

Automated Reporting: Features to generate automated reports and visualizations, providing insights into student skills, progress, and areas needing improvement.

Secure Data Handling: Robust data security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.

Customisable Surveys: Flexibility to create and customize surveys that address specific training needs and skill requirements of different vocational programs.

Engagement and Feedback: Tools to enhance student engagement through interactive surveys and provide immediate feedback to both students and educators.

We developed a SaaS platform with a survey-based approach for detailed skills assessment. The platform supports both transferable skills surveys and skill assessment surveys, aiding students and organisations in identifying actionable areas of improvement. Features include email and notification reminders, scheduled survey availability, and integration with the primary learning platform for seamless access, ensuring a smooth and engaging user experience.

The platform significantly improved survey participation through urgency and reminders, collected actionable data from targeted questions, and increased placement efficiency by matching students to suitable roles. Enhanced digital reporting capabilities improved tracking and analysis of student progress and performance. 

An integrated feedback mechanism ensured continuous improvement and adaptation to evolving needs, while a seamless user experience made completing surveys easier for both students and organisations, ultimately benefiting all stakeholders involved.
