As a committed Geelong business, we are pleased to announce that our CEO Aamir Qutub has been re-appointed as a member of the Geelong Authority for another three-year term.
The Victorian Government created the Geelong Authority to advise the Minister for Planning on strategies to attract investment to central Geelong and on major planning applications to help create jobs and drive growth in Geelong, through Revitalising Central Geelong.
The Minister may appoint up to eight members to the Geelong Authority, who collectively have skills and expertise in business development, innovation and investment attraction and to utilise key links to the major economic pillars of health, education, tourism, hospitality and export of produce.
The Geelong Authority brings expertise and local knowledge to add value by providing perspectives and advice to enhance the delivery of the ‘Revitalising Central Geelong Action Plan’ and to produce better outcomes for Geelong.
Since 2014, over $400 million has been invested in central Geelong to deliver projects outlined in the RCG Action Plan. These projects significantly contribute to a more vibrant and inviting urban environment for our region and we’re proud that our very own founder is contributing to Geelong’s bright future.
